Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited in Slough is recruiting a Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team at Slough Sewage Treatment Works. You will inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment with minimal supervision to keep sites operational for customers.

This role offers a clear path to develop multi-skilled expertise, with stand-by rota and overtime opportunities that can increase earnings after training.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprentice with experience in electrical systems in a true multi-skilled capacity.
• Upskilled with a mechanical qualification to inspect, maintain, diagnose faults, and repair electrical and mechanical plant.
• Driving licence is essential and PPE and tools are provided.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimise breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and training to trainees as required.
