Job summary

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced outpatient receptionist to join our busy Outpatient service across Hillingdon Hospital and Mount Vernon. You will rotate across seven outpatient areas, perform reception and clerical duties, handle telephone queries politely and follow up on actions, and ensure medical records are prepared ahead of consultations.

The role offers exposure to a multidisciplinary team and a patient‑focussed environment within a leading NHS

Qualifications

• Experience as a receptionist in GP surgery.
• Experience in Outpatients setting.
• Experience in a role that delivers a high standard of Customer care.
• Confident in using Microsoft office.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the outpatient team across locations.
• Perform supporting clerical duties to ensure smooth patient journey within Outpatients and to ensure clinics are cashed up promptly.
• Deal with telephone queries in a polite and professional manner and follow up on actions accordingly.
• Preparation of medical records in advance, ensuring all relevant patient information and documentation are available for the consultation.
