Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Multimodal Freight Operator to join the Southampton team. You will manage shipments from booking to delivery, handling import/export operations and coordinating ocean, air and road freight to meet service levels.

You will work with customers, overseas offices and carriers, ensuring documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance. A strong background in freight forwarding and CDS customs entries is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

Experience in freight forwarding essential.
Strong knowledge of import operations and CDS customs entries.
Understanding of end-to-end freight forwarding processes and documentation.

Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day import and export freight operations.
Coordinate ocean, air and road freight shipments.
Handle shipments from initial booking through to delivery.
Liaise with customers, overseas offices, shipping lines, airlines, hauliers and suppliers.
Prepare and check shipping documentation.
Complete UK Customs entries via CDS.
Ensure shipments comply with customs and regulatory requirements.
Respond to customer queries and provide shipment updates.
Collaborate with internal teams to meet deadlines and control costs.
Build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
