Job summary

WR Logistics in Caterham, Surrey is seeking an experienced Air Freight Operator to join our international freight forwarder team. You will manage air import/export shipments from booking to completion, prepare documentation, and liaise with customers and airlines to keep shipments moving efficiently.

We are looking for candidates with solid air freight experience, strong communication, and the ability to handle multiple shipments with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in air freight forwarding.
• Knowledge of air freight processes and documentation.
• Experience handling imports and/or exports.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and competing priorities.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage air import and export shipments from booking to completion
• Prepare and check air freight documentation
• Liaise with customers, airlines, overseas agents and suppliers
• Monitor shipment progress and follow up on delays
• Respond to customer queries and provide regular shipment updates
• Support quotations, rate requests and booking arrangements
• Check supplier invoices, costs and shipment charges
• Maintain accurate job files and system records
• Resolve operational issues and escalate where necessary
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient operation
• Provide a high level of customer service throughout the shipment lifecycle
