Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator to manage shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring smooth operations and clear updates for customers and partners.

You will coordinate UK and European road freight, book transport with hauliers, handle documentation, monitor progress, and provide competitive quotations while building strong relationships with customers and carriers.

Qualifications

• Experience in road freight operations required.
• Organised and able to manage multiple shipments at once.
• Confident communicating with customers and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Arranging and coordinating UK and European road freight shipments.
• Booking transport with hauliers and subcontractors.
• Liaising with customers, suppliers and overseas partners.
• Preparing and checking relevant shipping and customs documentation.
• Monitoring shipments and providing customers with regular updates.
• Obtaining and negotiating transport rates where required.
• Tracking deliveries and dealing with any issues or delays.
• Updating internal systems and maintaining accurate shipment records.
• Ensuring shipments are handled efficiently and within agreed deadlines.
• Preparing and providing competitive freight quotations and pricing for customers.
• Building strong working relationships with customers and transport partners.
