Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd. is hiring a Multi Trade Operative to join our Voids team in the Southampton area.

You will undertake multi-trade work including plumbing, plastering, tiling and carpentry repairs in domestic settings, ensuring properties are ready for handover and deadlines are met. We offer a competitive basic salary (£37,700) with potential to earn up to (£41,752), paid weekly for a guaranteed 39-hour week, plus weekly productivity bonuses.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Carpentry or Plumbing qualification.
• Experience in domestic/social housing and void properties.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Undertake multi-trade repairs in domestic settings: plumbing, plastering, tiling and carpentry.
• Address repairs such as leaks, drains, taps, and kitchen/bathroom issues.
• Ensure properties are ready for handover and meet deadlines.

The Multi Trade Operative role:

• Undertaking multi trade work including jobs such as plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and carpentry repair works in a domestic setting, utilisingproblem-solving capabilities.
• Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair work
• You will be responsible for ensuring our clients properties are ready for handover, working to deadlines and managing timeframes to ensure transitions run smoothly

What you will bring as a Multi Trade Operative:

• You will be qualified to Level 2 in either Carpentry or Plumbing, although other Level 2 trade qualifications are also welcomed.
• Domestic / social housing experience would be beneficial as would experience working void properties
• A full UK Driving Licence is essential for this role
