Job summary

Ian Williams Ltd is seeking a skilled Multi Trade Operative to join the Voids team in the Southampton area. You will handle plumbing, plastering, tiling, and carpentry in domestic settings, with a focus on problem-solving to keep properties ready for handover on time.

Qualifications

• Level 2 qualification in Carpentry or Plumbing.
• Experience in domestic/social housing and void properties is beneficial.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking multi-trade work including plumbing, plastering, tiling, and carpentry in domestic settings.
• Repairing issues such as taps, pipes, drainage, and kitchen/bathroom problems.
• Ensure properties are ready for handover, working to deadlines and managing timeframes.

The Multi Trade Operative Role

• Undertaking multi trade work including jobs such as plumbing, patch plastering, tiling, and carpentry repair works in a domestic setting, utilising problem-solving capabilities.
• Typical repairs can include broken taps, leaking pipes, drainage unblocks, and general kitchen and bathroom repair work
• You will be responsible for ensuring our clients properties are ready for handover, working to deadlines and managing timeframes to ensure transitions run smoothly

What You Will Bring As a Multi Trade Operative

• You will be qualified to Level 2 in either Carpentry or Plumbing, although other Level 2 trade qualifications are also welcomed.
• Domestic / social housing experience would be beneficial as would experience working void properties
• A full UK Driving License is essential for this role
