Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Operative with a joinery bias to cover social housing repairs across Workington, Whitehaven and surrounding areas. You'll handle replacement and repair tasks in joinery, plumbing, tiling and decorations, working on tenanted properties.

You'll operate in a supportive team with planned maintenance, a company van, tools, pension and loyalty perks. DBS checks and site safety compliance are part of the role, with a focus on delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• Multi Trade background essential with joinery focus
• Social Housing experience essential
• Full UK driving license required
• DBS check will be completed
• Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training beneficial

Responsibilities

• Replace and repair UPVC doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms
• Basic plumbing: sanitaryware, toilets, baths, trays, basins, taps
• Tiling and patch plastering, making good
• Painting and decorating as required
• Work in tenanted social housing properties
• Use handheld devices to manage live tickets
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies and standards
• Deliver high-quality repairs with professionalism and care

Multi Trade Operative- Joinery bias

Location: Site based, covering Workington, Whitehaven, Egremont, Maryport, Wigton and surrounding areas.

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Joiner to join Novus Property Solutions, Planned works and Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade background, joinery experience essential. The works include the replacement and occasional repairs of various upvc doors, windows, kitchen, bathrooms and general maintenance to ensure functionality.
• Basic Plumbing, replacement of sanitaryware, toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps with occasional repairs
• Tiling & patch plastering including making good
• Painting and decorating as and when required
• Social Housing experience is essential as you will be working in tenanted properties
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 Carpentry & Joinery
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Experience in multi trades such a carpentry, plumbing within social housing refurbishment environment.
• NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
