Job summary

Novus Property Solutions seeks a capable Multi Trade Operative to service social housing tenanted properties across Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife and surrounding areas. You will perform plumbing and joinery tasks within voids and responsive repairs, with a focus on quality workmanship and customer care.

The role offers site-based, Monday–Friday work with on-call duties, a van, tools, and a pension. Experience in tenancy environments is essential, and DBS checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade Operative, with plumbing/joinery skills essential.
• Knowledge of repairs in social housing is advantageous.
• Ability to work in tenanted properties and manage day-to-day workload independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs or replacement of sanitaryware items (toilets, baths, basins, taps).
• Install and repair pipework, soil stacks and domestic drainage.
• Perform basic joinery repairs (windows, doors, kitchens) where required.
• Work in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Use live job tickets and handheld devices to update a shared system.
• Deliver high-quality customer service in homes.
• Follow health and safety policies and standards.

Job description

Location: Site based covering Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife and surrounding areas. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 40 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality plumbing repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade Operative background, plumbing/joinery experience essential. The works include the repairs or replacement of various Sanitaryware items including toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps
• Pipework installation and repair, soil stacks and domestic drainage
• Basic joinery repairs, windows, doors, kitchens, painting & patch plastering is desirable.
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing or Joinery
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
