Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to join our Responsive Repairs division, covering East & West Midlands. You’ll undertake joinery and multi-skilled repairs in social housing tenancies, ensuring quality and safety in every visit.

Role requires experience in joinery and plumbing, a full UK driving licence, and DBS clearance. We offer stable, long-term work, 39-hour weeks, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Social housing refurbishment experience is essential.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• DBS check will be completed.
• NVQ Level 2 Joinery or Plumbing qualification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery and plumbing repairs in social housing tenanted properties.
• Perform flooring tasks such as laying vinyl floors.
• Work from job tickets or handheld devices against a live system.
• Follow Novus' Health and Safety policies and standards.
• Manage your own day and workload effectively.
• Provide outstanding customer service in customers' homes.
• Support planning team to reduce travel time and optimize workload.

Multi Trade Operative

Location: Site based covering East & West Midlands. Occasionally further afield

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality joinery and multi skilled repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade background, joiner & plumbing experience essential.
• Plumbing - Replacing or repairing sanitaryware, toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, refurbishment of shower heads and taps.
• Joinery - repairs of various doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms and general handyman type duties to ensure functionality.
• Flooring experience - laying vinyl floors
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus' exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or Plumbing
• NVQ Level 2 Trade Qualification (Carpentry, Plumbing or equivalent)
• Candidats will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Experience within social housing refurbishment environment.
• NVQ Level 2 Property Maintenance knowledge and qualifications are advantageous
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
