Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Joiner to join our Planned works and Responsive Repairs team. The role is site-based across Workington, Whitehaven, Egremont, Maryport, Wigton and surrounding areas, delivering high-quality repairs in social housing tenanted properties.

Joinery and carpentry skills are essential, with experience in replacement and repairs of UPVC doors and windows, kitchens, bathrooms, and general maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi trades and joinery essential for housing repairs.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry & Joinery required.
• Basic safety training including Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Replacement and occasional repairs of upvc doors, windows, kitchen, bathrooms and general maintenance.
• Basic plumbing and sanitaryware replacement.
• Painting and decorating as required.
• Social housing refurbishment experience is essential.
• Work from job tickets on handheld device in a live system.
• Manage own day and workload and deliver outstanding service in customers' homes.
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies.

Location:Site based, covering Workington, Whitehaven, Egremont, Maryport, Wigton and surrounding areas

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Joiner to join Novus Property Solutions, Planned works and Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade background, joinery experience essential.The works include the replacement and occasional repairs of various upvc doors, windows, kitchen, bathrooms and general maintenance to ensure functionality.
• Basic Plumbing, replacement of sanitaryware, toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps with occasional repairs
• Painting and decorating as and when required
• Social Housing experience is essential as you will be working in tenanted properties
  
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 Carpentry & Joinery
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Experience in multi trades such a carpentry, plumbing within social housing refurbishment environment.
• NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
