Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to join our Responsive Repairs division, delivering high-quality joinery and multi-skilled repairs within social housing tenanted properties. Site based across East & West Midlands with occasional travel, 39-hour weeks and on-call duties.

The role offers stability with ongoing contracts, company van and fuel card, tools provided, pension, and a supportive planning team. DBS may be required and a full UK driving license is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in multi-trade repairs in social housing.
• Proven ability to carry out joinery and plumbing tasks.
• Ability to work from job tickets or a live system.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-trade repairs in tenanted properties.
• Replace or repair sanitaryware, toilets, baths, showers, basins.
• Carry out joinery repairs to doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms.
• Patch plastering, boarding, and skimming where required.
• Lay vinyl flooring and ensure safe work practices.
• Work in social housing on responsive repairs.
• Operate from handheld devices and schedule work efficiently.
• Adhere to health and safety policies.

Multi Trade Operative

Site based covering East & West Midlands. Occasionally further afield

Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality joinery and multi-skilled repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties. This role will support you, value your skills, give you stability, whilst keeping your work interesting and meaningful.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade background, joiner & plumbing experience essential.
• Plumbing - Replacing or repairing sanitaryware, toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, refurbishment of shower heads and taps.
• Joinery - repairs of various doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms and general handyman type duties to ensure functionality.
• Plastering - patch plastering, boarding & skimming
• Flooring experience - laying vinyl floors
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or Plumbing
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
