Job summary

Niyaa People is seeking a Multi Trade Operative for a 6-week contract in the Basingstoke area. You will perform carpentry repairs and maintenance across void social housing properties, with basic plumbing, painting, and plastering tasks as needed.

Applicants should have strong carpentry skills and experience in multiple trades, plus the ability to travel between properties using their own van and tools. Mileage is not covered.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working within social housing or domestic properties.

Job description

Enjoy a 6-week contract paying £24 per hour, working for an established social housing contractor across void properties in the Basingstoke area.

You’ll be working for a respected social housing contractor, completing repairs and maintenance to empty properties ready for new tenants. You’ll be expected to provide your own van and tools, giving you the flexibility to manage your workload effectively as a Multi Trade Operative.

Id love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Carpenter, Multi Skilled Tradesperson, Maintenance Operative or Property Maintenance Technician.

As a Multi Trade Operative you will be:

• Carrying out a range of carpentry repairs and maintenance
• Completing basic plumbing works

• Carrying out basic patch plastering
• Completing general repairs within void social housing properties
• Ensuring properties are completed to a good standard ready for new tenants

Location & travel

Based in Basingstoke, the work will involve travelling between void properties across the local area. You will therefore need your own transport and should factor fuel and mileage costs into the £24 per hour rate.
