Job summary

MMP Consultancy is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Trades Operative to work on social housing Planned Works across Cambridgeshire. 40 hours per week on a live contract offering stability and steady workload in occupied and void properties.

The role covers plumbing, carpentry and general multi-trade maintenance, with a van, fuel card, and pension benefits. DBS/SC clearance and a full UK driving licence are desirable, plus City & Guilds Level 2.

Qualifications

• Proven multi-trade experience (plumbing + carpentry essential).
• Background in housing maintenance or similar.
• Ability to diagnose and fix issues first time.
• Comfortable working in occupied properties.
• Full UK driving licence.
• NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 preferred.
• Willing to undergo DBS/SC clearance.

I'm working with a major UK property services provider that's expanding its team on a long-term housing contract and needs reliable multi-traders immediately.

This is a live contract with consistent work - they're adding heads now to keep up with delivery across military family housing.

The role:

You'll be carrying out planned repairs and maintenance across occupied and void homes, ensuring properties are safe, compliant and finished to a high standard.

Day to day:

• Plumbing repairs & minor installs
• Carpentry and basic joinery work
• General multi-trade maintenance
• Working from a PDA to manage jobs efficiently
• Delivering strong customer service in occupied homes

What they're looking for:
