Job summary

Fortus Recruitment Group Limited is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor working across East London properties.

You'll carry out responsive repairs and multi-trade tasks, using a company van and fuel card. The role offers a long-term, consistent workload, with CIS pay at £21-£22 per hour and ongoing opportunities within a professional maintenance team across East London.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade Operative, ideally in social housing or property maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule.
• Full UK driving licence and own hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
• Completing a range of multi-trade works to a high standard
• General carpentry and joinery repairs
• Basic plumbing repairs
• Tiling, patching and making good
• Plastering and decorating
• Repairing doors, locks, fixtures and fittings
• Diagnosing faults and completing repairs efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Providing a professional service to residents and clients
• Completing jobs using a PDA/mobile system and updating records where required

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a well-established social housing contractor, working across properties throughout East London.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for consistent work, competitive rates and the use of a company van and fuel card.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out responsive repairs and maintenance within social housing properties
• Completing a range of multi-trade works to a high standard
• General carpentry and joinery repairs

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Multi Trade Operative, ideally within social housing or property maintenance
• Strong practical skills across multiple trades
• Good knowledge of responsive repairs and maintenance
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily schedule
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Own basic hand tools
• Relevant trade qualifications are desirable but not essential
