Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to perform repairs on occupied properties in the North East. The role requires joinery qualifications and a broad skill set across plumbing and wet trades. A company van and power tools are provided.

Driving licence is essential, and adherence to health and safety standards is required. The team covers property repairs for a not-for-profit organisation with a strong emphasis on inclusion.

Qualifications

• Must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in joinery/carpentry/electrical, Plumbing Level 3, Unvented - G3, and WRAS.
• CSCS cards not accepted; originals needed at interview.
• Full UK driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications.
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and restocked as needed.
• Respond to complaints and breakdowns, keeping customers informed.
• Provide accurate progress information on works to customers.

Multi-Trade Operative - Joiner

Cramlington

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week - Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team, predominantly working in and around the North East area. This role sits within the North Day to Day Team and is responsible for repairs to occupied properties. by using a wide range of skills and working alongside other Multi-Trade Operatives.

With a mix of skills and qualifications, the role will involve working on repairs for properties and will cover all aspects of general building repairs and maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing and wet trades. You must have qualifications in Joinery, and competency in other trades.

Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools for you to complete jobs to a high standard.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Respond positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (joinery, carpentry, electrical), Plumbing Level 3, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
• Skills in some of the following disciplines - Joinery, Plumbing and Wet Trades (plastering, tiling)
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to prioritise workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
