Job summary

Sanctuary Maintenance Contractors Limited is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to service properties across Plymouth and Cornwall. You will perform carpentry, plumbing, door/window installations, plastering, tiling, fencing, and general maintenance with a company van and power tools supplied.

Applicants must hold or be working toward an NVQ Level 2 in a core trade, have health and safety awareness, and a valid UK driving licence. The role offers a salary around £35,579–£37,452 per year.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in carpentry or electrical.
• WRAS/Water Regulations where applicable.
• Bring original certifications to interview; copies and CSCS cards not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Carry out maintenance duties in domestic properties per contract specs.
• Maintain and restock tools and equipment to keep them in good condition.
• Provide timely, clear updates on progress to customers and drive to sites as needed.

Title: Multi-Trade Operative

Plymouth, Devon, GB, PL4 9NJ

Multi-Trade Operative

Plymouth - covering sites across Plymouth and Cornwall

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 16:30pm

We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our team based in mid Cornwall, covering different sites across the Plymouth and Cornwall. As a Multi-Trade Operative you will be working in properties across the area. These works are predominantly in domestic properties and include carpentry, plumbing, installing doors/windows, plastering, tiling, fencing and general maintenance. Due to the nature of the role, a company van will be provided as well as power tools in order for you to complete jobs to a high standard.

The role of Multi-Trade Operativewill include:

• Carrying out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in line with contract specifications
• Ensuring tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and restocking these when needed
• Responding positively to complaints and breakdowns in service delivery, by resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Providing accurate and timely information on the progress of works that is easily understood by the customer

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Awareness of health and safety regulations and working legislation
• Skills in some of the following disciplines – Plumbing, Carpentry and Joinery, kitchen and bathroom installations, UPVC door and window fitting
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Ability to priorities workloads, work to deadlines and plan ahead
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
