Job summary

Sanctuary Group in Chester is seeking a Multi-Trade Operative to join the Responsive Repairs team. You will perform fault finding, repairs and routine maintenance on domestic dwellings, working both in a team and independently to resolve issues efficiently.

This role sits within Property Services. A company van and power tools are provided for business use, with training as needed. Hours are 40 per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm, with an emphasis on safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must have NVQ Level 2 in a core subject; Plumbing Level 3; Unvented - G3; Water Regulations (WRAS). Originals required at interview.
• Recent social housing experience advantageous.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks.
• Joinery and plastering skills advantageous.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Full UK driving licence required to drive company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out construction, fault finding and maintenance duties in line with contract and service requirements.
• Provide accurate progress updates and clear information to customers; maintain daily work records.
• Maintain van stock and restock as needed; respond to call-outs as required.

Multi-Trade Operative

Chester

£35,579 - £37,452 per year

40 hours per week – Monday to Friday – 8:00am to 4:30pm

We are looking for a Multi-Trade Operative to join our Responsive Repairs team based in the North West region. Working as part of a team and lone working carrying out fault finding, repairs and maintenance to domestic dwellings.

This position sits within Property Services who are responsible for delivering high quality and cost-effective property repairs, compliance and installation and estate services. A company van and power tools will be provided for business use along with training as and when needed.

The role of Multi-Trade Operative will include:

• Carry out construction, fault fixing and maintenance duties in accordance with contract and service
• Specifications
• Provide accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood by the customer and ensure accurate daily work records are completed
• Resolving problems or set into motion the means of resolution, ensuring customers are kept informed
• Maintaining a suitable van stock level and restocking these when needed
• Providing out of hours cover via a call out rota

Skills and experiences:

• To ensure full compliance with Building Safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (Plumbing Level 3 is required, Unvented - G3 Certificate and Water Regulations (WRAS). As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
• Recent experience of undertaking a similar role within social housing is advantageous
• Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise tasks
• Additional skills in some of the following disciplines - Joinery and plastering would be advantageous
• Working knowledge of the health and safety regulations
• This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
