Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Multi Trade Operative to deliver high-quality joinery and multi-skilled repairs across social housing tenancies. Work covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas, with 39 hours per week and out-of-hours on call.

You will have joinery experience, NVQ qualifications, a valid UK driving licence, and DBS clearance, with opportunities for development and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade Operative with joinery expertise.
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 Property Maintenance; PASMA/IPAF advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence and DBS check is required.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Safety training and ability to work in tenanted properties.

Responsibilities

• Carry out joinery repairs and multi-skilled maintenance on tenanted social housing properties.
• Carry out vinyl floor laying (cap and cove) where required.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs including toilets, baths and basins.
• Install and repair pipework, drainage, and soil stacks.
• Work from live job tickets on a handheld device.
• Manage own day and workload effectively while delivering high-quality service.
• Follow Novus' Health and Safety policies and standards.

Job description

Location: Site based as part of a team covering Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Hampshire, Oxfordshire and surrounding areas. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 39 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality joinery and multi skilled repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade Operative background, joinery experience essential. The works include the repairs or replacement of various windows, doors, kitchens, tiling & patch plastering is desirable
• Vinyl floor laying (cap and cove) desirable
• Basic plumbing repairs, including toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps.
• Pipework installation and repair, soil stacks and domestic drainage
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus
• Full UK driving license is required.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
