Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking an experienced Multi Trade Operative Voids to join our repairs and voids division, delivering high quality refurbishment of vacant social housing properties to a liveable standard.

The role is site based across Bristol, South Somerset and Hampshire, with 39 hours per week (Mon-Fri) plus on-call, a company van and fuel card, pension, and ongoing training to support your trades across joinery, plumbing, painting, flooring, tiling and plastering.

Qualifications

• Experienced multi-skilled tradesperson capable of full refurbishments in vacant social housing.
• Willing to work across trades including joinery, plumbing, decorating, flooring, tiling and plastering.
• NVQ Level 2/3 in Joinery or Property Maintenance; PASMA/IPAF advantageous.
• DBS check required; full UK driving licence essential.

Responsibilities

• Refurbish kitchens, bathrooms, flooring and fixtures to a high standard in live properties.
• Work daily from job tickets using a handheld device and update tasks on a live system.
• Manage your own day/workload to meet targets while delivering outstanding service.
• Follow Novus Health and Safety policies and maintain property handover readiness.
• Operate across multiple trades within occupied properties; DBS may be required.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• We are seeking experienced, multi‑skilled trades person with the expertise to deliver full‑scope refurbishments on vacant social housing properties. Applicants should be prepared to cover multiple trades including, joinery, plumbing, painting and decorating, flooring, tiling and patch plastering.
• The role involves refurbishing kitchens and bathrooms, flooring installation including cap and cove, minor tiling, patch plastering, door hanging, and the replacement of doors and windows. All work must be completed to a high standard, ensuring properties are ready for handover on completion.
• You will work daily from job tickets or a handheld device, using a live shared system to manage and update tasks
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively to meet company targets
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Joinery or NVQ Level 2 in Property Maintenance. Plumbing, tiling, plastering skills, PASMA, IPAF knowledge or qualifications are advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus
• Ideally you will hold a trade qualification and the ability to work across multiple trades within live occupied tenanted properties
• This role will require a DBS check and a full UK driving licence is required.
