Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a dedicated Multi Trade Operative to join the Responsive Repairs division. You will provide plumbing and carpentry repairs in social housing tenanted properties across Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife and surrounding areas, working on a core 40-hour week with on-call duties.

The role offers stability, competitive weekly pay, a van with fuel card, pension, tools provided and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Multi Trade Operative in social housing or similar environments.
• Ability to repair and replace sanitaryware (toilets, baths, basins, taps).
• Pipework, soil stacks and domestic drainage work.
• Basic joinery tasks and painting/patch plastering are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out repairs or replacements in tenanted properties in line with contracts.
• Work with handheld devices/ tickets to manage daily workload.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and standards.

Job description

Location:Site based covering Edinburgh, Dundee, Fife and surrounding areas. Standard Hours Monday- Friday 40 hours plus out of hours on call.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Multi Trade Operative to join Novus Property Solutions, Responsive Repairs division, providing high-quality plumbing repairs and replacement services within Social Housing tenanted properties

An outline of your responsibilities and experience

• Applications are welcome from experienced candidates that have a Multi Trade Operative background, plumbing/joinery experience essential.The works include the repairs or replacement of various Sanitaryware items including toilets, baths, shower trays, basins, taps
• Pipework installation and repair, soil stacks and domestic drainage
  
• Basic joinery repairs, windows, doors, kitchens, painting & patch plastering is desirable.
• Working in tenanted properties on responsive repairs.
• Social Housing experience is essential.
• Working from job tickets or a handheld device on a daily basis linked to a live shared system.
• Trusted to manage your own day and workload effectively
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Following Novus’ exemplary Health and Safety policies and standards
• NVQ Level 2/3 Plumbing or Joinery or NVQ Level 2 Property Maintenance knowledge and qualifications are advantageous
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• The role will also require a DBS check to be completed
• Full UK driving license is required
