Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Skilled Labourer to join our on-site team covering Warminster and surrounding area. You will perform general maintenance and basic trades such as joinery, plumbing, and plastering across social housing tenanted properties, indoors and outdoors, with a 39-hour Mon-Fri week.

You will work with a supportive planning team, with onsite DBS checks and a UK driving licence required. Training provided, plus benefits and a focus on safe, high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Background as a handyperson/skilled labourer with basic trade skills
• NVQ Level 2 Trade Qualification (Carpentry, Plumbing or equivalent)
• Level 2 Award in Property Maintenance
• PASMA/IPAF advantageous
• Full UK Driving Licence required
• DBS check required

Responsibilities

• General maintenance around site (tenanted properties)
• Basic joinery repairs or replacements (doors, windows, kitchens, bathrooms)
• Basic plumbing repairs/replacements (taps, basins, baths, showers)
• Basic patch plastering
• Painting and decorating where needed
• Site cleanliness and order
• Use PDA and work from job tickets
• Follow health and safety procedures
• Deliver high quality service to customers in their homes
• Maintain up-to-date systems and records

Location: Onsite covering Warminster and approx 60-90 minute radius - typically working Monday to Friday 39 hours

As a Skilled Labourer for Novus Property Solutions, you’ll work with a great team, who support each other and work together to deliver a great service for our customers. Possessing a background as a handyperson/skilled labourer with basic trade skills on Site, familiar with working internally and externally, at height and ideally working within Social Housing tenanted properties, although further training, including in Health and Safety will be given.

An Outline Of Your Responsibilities And Experience

• General maintenance around site(tenanted properties), supporting all trades across various internal responsive repair works
• Basic joinery including, repairs or replacements of doors, windows, kitchens and bathrooms
• Basic plumbing including repairing or replacing taps, basins, baths, shower trays/heads, sanitary ware
• Basic patch plastering experience
• Painting and Decorating experience desirable not essential
• Ensure all site is kept clean and in order, including removing refuge from site
• Using a PDA and working from job tickets
• Follow and enforce company health and safety procedures
• Always delivering an outstanding service to customers with the understanding that you are working in their homes
• Manage Systems so they are up to date and accurate
• NVQ Level 2 Trade Qualification (Carpentry, Plumbing or equivalent)
• Candidates will also require Working at Height, Asbestos Awareness and Manual Handling training. Where these certifications have expired, refresher training can be provided by Novus.
• Experience in labouring or multi trades such a carpentry, plumbing within social housing refurbishment environment.
• Knowledge and Qualifications in;
• Level 2 Award in Property Maintenance
• PASMA, IPAF and Abrasive Wheels are all advantageous
• This role will require a Full UK Driving Licence
• The role will require a DBS check to be taken
