Job summary

Niyaa People currently seeks a skilled Multi-Trade operative to cover Northampton and surrounding areas. The role involves a variety of repairs across residential properties, with a focus on subsidence-related work.

You will perform carpentry, plastering, decorating, tiling and general repairs, travelling between sites in Northamptonshire and nearby areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong multi-trade background, own a van, and be comfortable travelling to multiple properties.

Job description

Multi-Trade role covering Northampton and surrounding areas, paying £180 per day, with fuel contribution available for longer-distance travel.

This is a varied insurance repairs role working across residential properties, with the majority of the work involving subsidence repairs. You’ll be carrying out a range of Multi-Trade works, including carpentry, plastering, decorating, tiling and general property repairs. The work will coverNorthampton, Northamptonshire, Kettering, Leicester, Milton Keynes and occasionally Luton, so you’ll need to be comfortable travelling between properties and working independently.I’d love to see CVs from anyone who has worked as a Multi-Trade, Carpenter, Plasterer, Decorator or similar, particularly anyone with a strong combination of trades.

As a Multi-Trade, you will be:

• Completing Multi-Trade repairs and reinstatement works across residential properties.
• Carrying out carpentry, plastering, decorating, tiling and general building repairs.
• Completing remedial works primarily relating to subsidence insurance claims.
• Carrying out making-good and finishing works following repairs.
• Working across different types and ages of residential property.
• Completing occasional fire restoration, demolition and larger repair works where required.
• Managing a varied workload and adapting to changing priorities.
• Working professionally within occupied properties and minimising disruption.
• Completing jobs safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Keeping work areas clean and tidy.
• Travelling between properties across Northamptonshire and surrounding areas.
• Carrying your own tools and materials using your own van.

I’d love to speak to anyone who has:

• Strong experience as a Multi-Trade or similar.
• A genuine multi-skilled background with the ability to carry out a range of property repairs.
• Experience working across residential properties.
• Experience working in occupied properties.
• A strong core trade combined with additional skills such as carpentry, plastering, decorating or tiling.
• Experience carrying out remedial and refurbishment works.
• The ability to work quickly and independently.
• A professional and customer-focused approach.
• Their own reliable and sufficiently large van, ideally capable of carrying 8x4 sheets and materials for plastering or timber work.
• The ability and willingness to travel across Northamptonshire, Leicester, Milton Keynes and occasionally Luton.
• No CSCS card is required, as this is not a standard construction-site role.
• Availability to start quickly.
