Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd. is recruiting a Multi-Trade Operative for social housing repairs and maintenance across void and tenanted properties in the North West.

This is a temporary ongoing role with immediate start available and a competitive hourly rate (DOE). The successful candidate will carry out reactive and planned maintenance, work in both occupied and void homes, and perform a range of trades including joinery, plumbing, plastering and decorating, while ensuring high standards and strong

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing repairs and maintenance.
• Strong all‑round trades background and capability to work across multiple trades.
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Own tools preferred for minimum downtime.
• CSCS Card advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive and planned maintenance in social housing properties.
• Work in both occupied and void properties.
• Perform joinery repairs and installations (doors, skirting, architraves, kitchens, flooring).
• Conduct basic plumbing repairs (taps, sinks, toilets, pipework).
• Carry out patch plastering, tiling and decorating works.
• General property repairs and maintenance to a high standard.
• Deliver excellent customer service when working in occupied homes.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times.

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative to join a busy social housing contractor carrying out repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment works across void and tenanted properties.

This is a temporary ongoing position with consistent work available for the right candidate.

Duties:

• Carrying out reactive and planned maintenance works on social housing properties
• Working within both occupied (tenanted) and void properties
• Joinery repairs and installations including doors, skirting, architraves, kitchens, and flooring
• Basic plumbing repairs including taps, sinks, toilets, and pipework
• Patch plastering, tiling, and decorating works
• General property repairs and maintenance
• Ensuring all works are completed to a high standard
• Delivering excellent customer service when working in occupied homes
• Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements:

• Previous experience working within social housing repairs and maintenance
• Skilled in a variety of trades with a strong all-round maintenance background
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Full UK Driving Licence
