Job summary

Veolia is seeking a dedicated operator to provide on-site coverage at Hollingdean IWF, Brighton. The role involves operating Mobile Plant, performing daily checks, and loading materials in and out of the site as part of a 40-hour week (Sunday to Thursday, 9am–5pm).

The contract is fixed for 12 months with overtime available and a rota that may require coverage before or after standard hours. Veolia offers training and development within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous operational / manual handling experience.
• Experience operating Mobile Plant: Teletruck, Loading Shovel, Wheeled Materials Handler - Training can be provided
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Providing on site cover for various operational roles such as Mobile Plant, Weighbridge, Traffic Controllers (Training will be provided)
• Operating the Mobile Plant on site, completing daily checks while maintaining the equipment in line with the manufacturer’s handbook, including cleaning and inspection.
• Loading materials in and out of the site
• Working at other sites within the South Downs contract area if required
• Site housekeeping and opening and closing site procedures in line with Environmental Permit and Planning conditions

Must be flexible to cover other shifts when needed - this rota will be provided in advance

This is a Fixed Term Contract for 12 months
