Job summary

Veolia Group in Brighton is seeking on-site operatives to cover Mobile Plant, Weighbridge, and Traffic Controller roles on a 40-hour week. The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months with shift flexibility and Saturday/Sunday coverage as needed.

You will operate on-site Mobile Plant, perform daily checks, and assist with loading materials, while complying with permit and site procedures. Training will be provided for equipment use and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Previous operational / manual handling experience.
• Training provided for Mobile Plant equipment.
• Good IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site cover for Mobile Plant, Weighbridge, and Traffic Controllers.
• Operate Mobile Plant and complete daily checks following the manual.
• Load materials on/off site and maintain site equipment.
• Follow Environmental Permit and planning conditions; site housekeeping.

What will you be doing?

Providing on site cover for various operational roles such as Mobile Plant, Weighbridge, Traffic Controllers (Training will be provided). Operating the Mobile Plant on site, completing daily checks while maintaining the equipment in line with the manufacturer's hand book, including cleaning and inspection. Loading materials in and out of the site. Working at other sites within the South Downs contract area if required. Site housekeeping and opening and closing site procedures in line with Environmental Permit and Planning conditions.

What are we looking for?

• Previous operational / manual handling experience
• Experience operating Mobile Plant: Teletruck, Loading Shovel, Wheeled Materials Handler - Training can be provided
• Good IT skills
