Thames Water Ltd seeks a Mechanical & Electrical Technician at Didcot STW to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair mechanical and electrical plant with minimal supervision. The role supports continuous operation for customers and communities.

You will work a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with standby and overtime opportunities that can boost earnings. Company training and a full PPE/tools package are provided.

Competenze

• Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems and a true multi-skilled capacity.
• Upskill with mechanical qualification to achieve dual-skilled status.
• Driving licence is essential.

Mansioni

• Carry out scheduled planned maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment to minimize plant breakdowns.
• Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs quickly to avoid process interruptions.
• Provide technical advice and reference up-to-date knowledge; train/support technical trainees if required.
• Work on pumps, motors, starters, controls, VSDs, valves, penstocks, PLCs, and dosing equipment.
• Participate in standby rota following relevant training.
