Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for a fast-paced, automated FMCG site in Slough. The role focuses on maintenance and improvement of production lines, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime across packaging and processing equipment.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical fault-finding skills, hands-on experience with PLCs, and a proven track record in FMCG manufacturing.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / Apprenticeship or equivalent required.
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability required.
• Experience as a Multi Skilled engineer in FMCG environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve automated production and packaging machinery to ensure reliability and minimise downtime.
• Perform reactive breakdown maintenance and planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Carry out electrical and PLC fault finding and mechanical maintenance as needed.
• Support installation and commissioning projects and contribute to continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime. Key responsibilities include:

• Reactive breakdown maintenance across production and packaging lines
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Electrical fault finding and repairs
• Mechanical maintenance and component replacement
• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Continuous improvement activities
• Equipment reliability and performance enhancements
• Supporting installation and commissioning projects
• Ensuring health, safety and food safety standards are maintained

• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
