Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers for a leading UK FMCG food manufacturer. You will perform PPM, breakdown repairs and fault finding on production and packaging equipment within a fast-paced facility.

Role requirements include NVQ Level 3, manufacturing maintenance experience, and PLC fault-finding; offering £50,000 base with overtime, training, progression, and a permanent on-site position.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing.
• Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled background.
• Strong fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on production machinery.
• PLC fault-finding experience advantageous.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
• PLC fault finding.
• Working with inverters and control panels.
• Maintenance of production and packaging machinery.
• Working on conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, and gearboxes.
• Continuous improvement projects.
• Root cause analysis.
• Reducing downtime and improving equipment reliability.
• Ensuring Health & Safety standards are maintained.

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for multiple Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join one of the UK's leading food manufacturers. This role would suit either an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or a genuinely Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, automated warehousing, logistics, or production environments. Working within a fast-paced manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across a range of production and packaging equipment.
