Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer in Lincolnshire for a leading FMCG manufacturer. You will maintain and improve automated production and packaging equipment within a fast-paced site.

You will work across PLCs, drives, motors and control systems, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. A strong electrical/mechanical background is essential.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience in FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability and experience with automated equipment.
• Familiarity with PLCs, drives, motors and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Maintaining automated processing and packaging equipment.
• Working with PLCs, inverters, control panels and electrical systems.
• Servicing conveyors, motors, drives, mixers, extruders and ovens.
• Fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects.
• Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records through CMMS systems.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off Days & Nights

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Maintaining automated processing and packaging equipment
• Working with PLCs, inverters, control panels and electrical systems

The Candidate

To be considered, you should have:

• Multi Skilled Maintenance experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or a similar automated environment
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability
• Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical)
• Experience working on automated manufacturing equipment
• Knowledge of PLCs, drives, motors and control systems
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance
• Ability to work effectively as part of a shift engineering team

Desirable Experience

• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Packaging and process machinery
• Steam systems, boilers, valves and pipework
• Conveying systems and drive technologies
• Ovens, mixers, grinders and extruders
• CMMS maintenance software
• Additional electrical testing or PLC qualifications
