Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd. is helping a leading food manufacturer recruit a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to maintain and improve automated production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The role requires strong electrical fault-finding, PLC and control system knowledge, and experience with hydraulics and pneumatics. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off days & nights, with excellent training and progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Multi Skilled Maintenance experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or a similar automated environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
• Relevant engineering qualifications (Electrical or Mechanical).
• Experience working on automated manufacturing equipment.
• Knowledge of PLCs, drives, motors and control systems.
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a shift engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery and site services
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Maintaining automated processing and packaging equipment
• Working with PLCs, inverters, control panels and electrical systems
• Servicing conveyors, motors, drives, mixers, extruders and ovens
• Fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and steam systems
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and engineering projects
• Working closely with production teams to maximise equipment performance
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records through CMMS systems
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging equipment in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

The Candidate

To be considered, you should have:
