Synergi Search & Select Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer in Slough, Berkshire for a modern, automated FMCG manufacturing facility. You will maintain and improve a wide range of production and packaging machinery, with a focus on reliability and uptime.

The role requires hands-on technical skills in electrical and mechanical maintenance, fault finding on PLCs, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
• Strong electrical fault-finding ability.
• Multi Skilled engineering experience.
• Previous FMCG manufacturing experience.
• Experience working on automated machinery.
• Knowledge of three-phase motors and drives.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Proactive approach to maintenance and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Reactive breakdown maintenance across production and packaging lines.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Mechanical maintenance and component replacement.
• PLC fault finding and diagnostics.
• Continuous improvement activities.

This role would suit engineers from food, beverage, bakery, dairy, pharmaceutical, packaging or wider FMCG manufacturing backgrounds.

The Role

As a Multi Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving a wide range of automated production and packaging machinery, ensuring equipment reliability and minimising downtime.
Key responsibilities include:
