Job summary

Synergi Search & Select Ltd is recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading UK food manufacturer on a permanent basis. The role covers planned preventive maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding across production and packaging equipment, and continuous improvement projects in a fast-paced FMCG facility.

The successful candidate will typically hold an NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent and have strong electrical, mechanical or multi-skilled

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent required.
• Experience as a maintenance engineer in manufacturing.
• Electrical or mechanical or multi-skilled background with fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across production lines
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs
• Fault diagnosis including PLC fault finding
• Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, motors, and gearboxes
• Drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced FMCG site

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer | FMCG | Food Manufacturing | £50,000

Location: Food Manufacturing Site
Salary: £50,000 + Overtime
Shifts Available:
Shift 1

• Tuesday to Saturday


• 07:00 - 16:30

Shift 2

• Tuesday to Saturday


• 14:00 - 23:30

Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for multiple Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineers to join one of the UK's leading food manufacturers.
This role would suit either an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, or a genuinely Multi-Skilled Engineer with experience within FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging, automated warehousing, logistics, or production environments.
Working within a fast-paced manufacturing facility, you will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, and continuous improvement activities across a range of production and packaging equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)


• Reactive maintenance and breakdown repairs


• Electrical and mechanical fault finding


• PLC fault finding


• Working with inverters and control panels


• Maintenance of production and packaging machinery


• Working on conveyors, pumps, motors, bearings, and gearboxes

• Root cause analysis

Skills & Experience Required

• NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent


• Maintenance engineering experience within manufacturing


• Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled background


• Strong fault-finding skills


• Experience working on production machinery


• PLC fault-finding experience advantageous


• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics
