Job summary

Synergi Recruitment seeks a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) for a leading UK food producer in Wembley. You will join a busy engineering team, keeping production and packaging equipment running safely, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong electrical fault-finding experience in manufacturing, be able to read diagrams, work with inverters and control panels, and bring a proactive, hands-on

Qualifications

• Electrical fault-finding experience in manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Experience with inverters and control panels.
• Strong reactive maintenance skills.
• Basic mechanical maintenance experience.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in engineering.
• UK manufacturing experience.
• Positive, proactive, hands-on approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs.
• Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and restore production.
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM).
• Fault-find within control panels and with inverters.
• Maintain production and packaging machinery.
• Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors.
• Support site reliability and minimise downtime.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work safely in a fast-paced production environment.

Job Role & Key Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Electrical Bias) to join an established engineering team within a busy manufacturing environment. You will play a key role in keeping production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently, responding to breakdowns and supporting planned maintenance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns
• Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
• Fault-find within control panels and work with inverters
• Maintain production and packaging machinery
• Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors
• Support site reliability and minimise production downtime
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
• Work safely and effectively within a fast-paced production environment

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Strong electrical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing environment
• Experience reading and interpreting electrical diagrams
• Experience working with inverters and control panels
• Strong reactive maintenance skills
• Basic mechanical maintenance experience
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification
• Previous UK manufacturing experience
• A positive, proactive and hands-on approach
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• The ability to remain calm and effective under pressure

Desirable Skills:

• Previous food manufacturing or FMCG experience
• Multi-skilled maintenance background
• Strong mechanical fault-finding experience
• Experience within packaging, automated or high-speed production environments
• NARIC-equivalent qualifications will also be considered
