Job summary

Dunraven Recruitment Limited is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias Preferred) for a permanent, full-time role in Scunthorpe within the fast-moving consumer goods sector. The job is based on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern and includes a competitive salary with opportunities for progression.

Key responsibilities include carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance, diagnosing faults, and ensuring safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
• Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
• Good project management skills with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects as required.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's maintenance management system.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
• Participate in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays as required within the food manufacturing operation.
