Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to keep our manufacturing site running smoothly. You will maintain, repair and improve machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency on production lines.

You will conduct preventive maintenance, diagnose breakdowns, carry out machine adjustments and changeovers, monitor performance and safety, and collaborate with production teams to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• NVQ3 level or equivalent is required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge essential for FMCG equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial machinery including conveyors, motors, pumps and packaging equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment, identifying and resolving potential issues before disruptions.
• Respond to machinery breakdowns, diagnose problems, perform repairs or coordinate with external specialists.
• Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production line efficiency and minimise downtime.
• Monitor and calibrate equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and safety standards are met.
• Collaborate with production teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and provide technical expertise to enhance productivity.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs and spare parts inventory.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and new technologies relevant to the role.
