Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a large Food/FMCG site in Norwich. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance across site machinery, with a focus on minimising downtime and keeping production running.

You will join an experienced team offering training and development, with a clear path for progression on a brand-new site and a shift pattern of 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG/manufacturing environments with a focus on maintenance.
• Ability to work safely on electrical systems within a manufacturing setting.
• Proven skills in mechanical maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Willingness to support production and minimise downtime.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance.
• Perform reactive breakdown maintenance.
• Lead project and improvement work.

Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Shifts: 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 Off (0600 - 1800)
Salary: up to £55,200
Location: Norwich

The Role:

We are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a large Food/FMCG site in Norwich. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy site with a range of machinery. You would be joining a team of Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers with a wealth of experience within FMCG/Manufacturing, who are there to ensure the site is running at all times and minimising downtime.

Key Responsibilities as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Planned preventative maintenance
• Reactive breakdown maintenance
• Project and improvement work
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding
• Supporting production to minimise downtime
• Working on manufacturing and plant equipment across the site
• Continuous improvement activities to improve efficiency and reliability

Requirements as a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer:

• Ability to work safely on electrical systems within FMCG manufacturing
• Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
• Ability to support across conveyors, production machinery, and plant equipment
• Comfortable carrying out basic mechanical repairs and continuous improvement work
