Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer (Nights) for a busy FMCG manufacturing site in Hull, East Yorkshire. You will join a supportive engineering team where safety, quality and teamwork are central.

You’ll be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventive maintenance, and supporting site performance through continuous improvement and root-cause fault finding.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on maintenance including planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory.
• Stable work history (no job hoppers).

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on FMCG equipment.
• Respond to breakdowns and carry out planned preventive maintenance.
• Support continuous improvement and root-cause fault finding.

Job Role of the Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

A superb opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a supportive, collaborative engineering team within a busy FMCG food manufacturing site. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where safety, quality, and teamwork are central to daily operations.

You will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and supporting site performance through continuous improvement and root-cause fault finding.

Sector - Factory Maintenance (FMCG / Food Manufacturing)

Non-Negotiable Requirements

• Multi-skilled maintenance experience within an industrial/manufacturing environment
• Hands-on experience with planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance in a fast-paced factory environment
• Stable work history (no job hoppers)

Requirements

• Electrical & mechanical fault-finding experience
• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering
• Ability to work well within a team and under pressure to meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and good standards of documentation (PPM records / corrective actions)

Desirable Requirements

• FMCG manufacturing experience (advantageous)
• PLC fault finding (inputs/outputs)
