The Recruitment Fix is seeking a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer for a busy manufacturing plant near Rochdale. The role provides mechanical and electrical maintenance support, collaborating with Production, Process and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance engineering or similar role.
• Ideally experience in an Injection or Blow moulding production environment.
• Multiskilled with mechatronic experience.
• PLC and controls knowledge.
• 17th or 18th Edition advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to maintain and improve machinery.
• Set standards on machines and train others.
• Assist in machine setup after mould changes.
• Fault diagnosis and issue resolution.
• Maintain quality and safety standards (ISO9001/ISO14001/ISO50001, 5S).
• Knowledge of ISO quality tools and OEE is beneficial.

Our client is a global leader in industrial packaging and Medical Waste. Based at a busy manufacturing plant near Rochdale, the role provides mechanical and electrical maintenance support to the site in collaboration with Production, Process and Quality.

Responsibilities

• A team player with the ability to work productively and easily with others.
• Setting standards on machines and training others to set up and make improvements.
• Assisting in the setup of machines after the mould changes.
• Fault diagnosis.
• Excellent communicator. Ability to work well and calmly under pressure. Flexible and approachable. Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 & ISO14001 & ISO50001, OEE, 5S, Quality Tools.
• Experience of Krupp Kautex, Krauss Maffei, Negri Bossi, BMB and Battenfeld machines would be a distinct advantage.

About you

• You must have a minimum of 5 years' experience of maintenance engineering or similar role.
• Ideally worked within an Injection or Blow moulding production environment.
• Multi skilled with mechatronic experience.
• PLC and controls knowledge.
• 17th or 18th Edition advantageous but not essential.

Hours

Hours of work are days Monday - Thursday 7:00 - 15:30, Friday 7:00 - 15:00. Every fourth week is late Monday - Thursday 12:00 - 20:30, Friday 12:00 - 20:00.

There could also be an opportunity to consider candidates who would prefer a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.
