Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking an experienced Mobile Multi‑Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to deliver high‑quality planned and reactive maintenance across client sites in West Cumbria. You will perform fault finding, repairs, and routine servicing to ensure all building systems are safe and operational.

The role requires an electrical bias with suitable qualifications (City & Guilds 2365 or NVQ Level 3) and 18th Edition BS 7671.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 2365 in Electrical Installation or NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services.
• AM2 Assessment: The Achievement Measurement 2 practical test for electrotechnical competence.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations: BS 7671 certification.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair across electrical systems and building services.
• Fault-finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, lighting, and building management systems.
• Support basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as pumps, valves, AHUs and basic fabric works.
• Be included in the on-call rota.
• Ensure work complies with BS 7671 and Mitie standards with proper documentation.

We are looking for a skilled professional to join our Technical Services team to deliver high‑quality planned and reactive maintenance across client sites based primarily in West Cumbria. • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services. Responsibilities include fault‑finding, diagnosis and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, building management systems, emergency lighting and general plant.
• Support basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and basic fabric works.
• You will also be included in the on‑call rota.
• You will have strong electrical fault‑finding and maintenance experience, ideally gained within facilities management, commercial, or industrial building services environments.
• All work must be completed in full compliance with BS 7671, Mitie technical standards, client and statutory requirements, with job progress and documentation accurately maintained

Qualifications

Level 2 & Level 3 Diplomas: E.g., City & Guilds 2365 in Electrical Installation, or NVQ Level 3: E.g., Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services or Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment. AM2 Assessment: The Achievement Measurement 2 practical test for electrotechnical competence. 18th Edition Wiring Regulations: Certification in BS 7671.
