Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to support electrical installation, maintenance, testing, fault diagnosis and repair across various sites.

The role emphasizes safety, efficiency and high standards of workmanship while enabling you to work with tradespeople and use a range of test equipment. You will be involved in site-based activities, wiring support, fault finding and repairs, with a strong emphasis on following safety procedures and maintaining accurate

Qualifications

• BS 7671 18th Edition in Electrical Installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, plant, controls and safe working practices.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings, procedures and maintenance instructions accurately.
• Self-motivated, well-organised and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, respectful and confident in raising safety concerns when required.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and support tradespeople with wiring, calibration and alignment tasks across a range of site-based activities.
• Carry out electrical testing, fault diagnosis, repairs and updates to maintenance work orders in line with operational requirements.
• Use appropriate test equipment, tools and materials safely, ensuring their limitations are understood and applied correctly.
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures at all times, ensuring no live working is undertaken under any circumstances.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, work safely across all tasks and actively participate in toolbox talks and safety briefings.
