Job summary

Mitie Group plc. in Cumbria is seeking a Mobile Multi-Skilled Engineer (Electrical Bias) to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across client sites in West Cumbria. This role requires hands-on electrical skills and a customer-focused approach.

You will perform PPMs, fault finding, and repairs on distribution boards, motors, pumps and building management systems, while adhering to BS 7671 and Mitie's standards. A full UK driving licence and a company vehicle are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 & Level 3 Diplomas in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrotechnical Services or Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment.
• AM2 Assessment: The Achievement Measurement 2 practical test for electrotechnical competence.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations: Certification in BS 7671.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works across electrical systems and building services, including fault-finding and repair of distribution boards, motors, pumps, BMS, emergency lighting and general plant.
• Support basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as pumps, valves, AHUs, basic plumbing and fabric works.
• Be included in the on-call rota.
• Demonstrate strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience within facilities management, commercial, or industrial environments.
• Ensure all work complies with BS 7671, Mitie standards, client and statutory requirements; document progress accordingly.

Role Responsibilities:

• Support basic mechanical maintenance tasks such as pumps, valves, air handling units, basic plumbing and basic fabric works.
• You will also be included in the on-call rota.
• You will have strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience, ideally gained within facilities management, commercial, or industrial building services environments.
• All work must be completed in full compliance with BS 7671, Mitie technical standards, client and statutory requirements, with job progress and documentation accurately maintained

Qualifications:

NVQ Level 3: E.g., Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services or Installing Electrotechnical Systems & Equipment.
