Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd in Wrexham is recruiting a Multi Skilled Engineer for a food manufacturer. The role covers electrical and mechanical maintenance on fast-moving lines, with a 4-on/4-off continental shift pattern (2 days, 2 nights).

You should be apprentice-trained in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience of PLCs, automated machinery, and PPM systems. Training on offer to broaden skills and improve machine efficiency.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience of PLC Systems & Automated Machinery.
• Understanding of PPM Systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day electrical and mechanical engineering activities to high standards.
• Maximize machine efficiencies on a fast-moving FMCG line.
• Work on ovens, sealing machinery, gearboxes, pumps and other manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work on own initiative; time-served multi-skilled engineer.

The Roles

The successful candidates will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day electrical and mechanical engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. The ideal candidates will come from an electrical or a mechanical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer but multi-skilled and have fast moving manufacturing experience. If you have worked PLC systems, lean manufacturing systems and PPM systems would be advantageous. Also, able and willing to work on ovens, sealing machinery, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
