Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer for a 4 on 4 off shift pattern in Stoke. You will lead a maintenance shift on high-speed packaging lines, create detailed CMMS reports and drive continuous improvement projects across automated machinery including PLC fault finding.

The role requires an apprenticeship in electrical or mechanical engineering, experience in FMCG environments, and familiarity with PPM/maintenance systems.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained in electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Experience in fast-moving consumer goods environments with automated equipment.
• Understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer on shift in a high-speed automation line.
• Create detailed maintenance reports using CMMS.
• Drive continuous improvement projects on equipment.
• Maintain packaging machinery, slicers, taggers and conveyors.
• Fault finding on Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs; basic mechanical knowledge.
• Apply 17th/18th edition where applicable.

The Role

You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in electrical engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules within a high-speed automated environment. On a day to day basis, you will be the lead engineer on shift, create detailed maintenance reports using (CMMS), execute continuous improvement projects and build stock items. The role will involve the maintenance of packaging machinery, slicers, taggers, basket fillers, stacking machines, inverters, drives, sensors, and fault finding on Allen Bradley and Mitsubishi PLCs. The ideal candidate will also have some Mechanical knowledge and ideally 17th/18th Edition. Your experience will be supported with ongoing development, for you to create further opportunities, to enhance your career prospects within this huge multinational group.
