Job summary

ETS Consulting Ltd is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for our Wakefield site. Salary ranges from £40,000 to £42,500 with a pension and overtime. The role follows a continental day shift pattern: 4 on 4 off, 4:45am-4:45pm.

You will handle day-to-day electrical/mechanical maintenance and drive machine efficiencies. Ideal candidates have apprentice-level training in engineering, FMCG experience, and a solid understanding of PPM systems.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• FMCG manufacturing experience.
• Understanding of PPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repair work to high standards.
• Carry out the monthly Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule.
• Work on PLCs, conveyor systems, packaging machinery and other manufacturing equipment.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximizing machine efficiencies. This will be a reactive and a proactive maintenance role, working to and carrying out the monthly PPM work. The successful candidate will come from an electrical or mechanical engineering background, with a strong multi-skilled pedigree. You will be expected to work on your own initiative and have fast moving manufacturing experience, with a good working knowledge of PPM systems. On a day to day basis, you will work on PLC systems, slicers, Multivac, weighers, labellers, conveyors, packaging machinery, motors, shafts, pumps, and mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing machinery. There is a huge amount of training on offer so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
