The Multi Skilled Engineer role combines electrical engineering with hands-on maintenance of PLCs, automated machinery, and driven systems in a demanding production environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained electrical engineer with multi-skills capable of working independently.
• Experience with PLCs and automated machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance and PPM systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on machinery.
• Work on PLC systems, ABB robotics, AC drives and sensors as required.
• Perform general mechanical work and routine maintenance in a fast-paced plant.
• Support process improvements and adapt to shift work as needed.

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background but be multi skilled in knowledge and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with knowledge of PPM systems and have manufacturing machinery experience, within a fast moving manufacturing process. If you have worked on; PLC systems, ABB robotics, AC Drives, sensors, it would be advantageous. Also, able, and willing to work on process machinery, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, pumps, general mechanical work, and other manufacturing processes. There is training and career development on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
