Job summary

The Company in the UK is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a manufacturing setting focused on automotive, FMCG, and packaging markets. You will work on electrical maintenance, automation, and preventative programmes to maximise machine uptime and efficiency.

Candidates should be time-served with hands-on experience in PPM/TPM, and be prepared for a shift pattern from Friday to Sunday days and nights with 6-6 hours. A pathway to supervisory responsibilities is highlighted in the role.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained electrical technician with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs and automated machinery in a production environment.
• Understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance (PPM/TPM) in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities to maximise machine uptime and efficiency.
• Work on PLC-controlled automated machinery and ensure production schedules are met.
• Possibility of supervisory role in future as skills broaden.

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with experience of PPM and TPM manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you also work on PLC controlled automated machinery ensuring that uptime is maintained, and production schedules are maintained. There is a huge amount of development on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably, with the possibility of taking on a supervisory role in the future.
