Job summary

Dunraven Recruitment Limited is seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join a busy FMCG site in Scunthorpe. The role involves carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance on production and site equipment, with a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern.

Requirements include at least 3 years in food manufacturing or FMCG, strong fault-finding skills, and a solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' engineering experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
• Electrical bias preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
• Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects as required.
• Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's maintenance management system.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
• Participate in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays as required within the food manufacturing operation.

Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements:

Essential:

• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities (electrical bias preferred).
• Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG.
• Strong understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
• Good project management skills with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.

Desired:

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
