Job summary

ETS Consulting in Louth is seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer to join their team on a Friday-to-Sunday shift pattern (days then nights). The role involves day-to-day electrical engineering and maintenance, improving machine efficiencies and keeping PLC-controlled lines running to schedule.

The successful candidate will come from an electrical background, be time-served, and have experience with PPM/TPM in manufacturing. A pension is provided along with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained in electrical work with hands-on maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLC systems and automated machinery is essential.
• Understanding of preventive and planned maintenance (PPM) within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day electrical engineering and maintenance activities to high standards.
• Maintain uptime and production schedules while working on PLC-controlled machinery.

The Role

The ideal candidate will come from an electrical engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with experience of PPM and TPM manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards and maximising machine efficiencies. If you also work on PLC controlled automated machinery ensuring that uptime is maintained, and production schedules are maintained. There is a huge amount of development on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably, with the possibility of taking on a supervisory role in the future.
