Job summary

Brewpoint in Bedford is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to keep the brewery operating safely, efficiently and reliably. You’ll work with Brewing, Cellaring, Packaging and Distribution teams, driving improvements and supporting production across rotating shifts.

Based in Bedford, the role requires a three-week rotating shift pattern (6am–10pm) to cover both production shifts. You'll be involved in planned maintenance, fault diagnosis and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Multi-skilled engineering experience in FMCG/manufacturing.
• Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills with a proactive approach.
• Engineering qualification or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Experience working with maintenance management systems.
• Knowledge of utilities such as steam, compressed air, refrigeration, water treatment or effluent systems.
• Positive, flexible approach and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Flexibility to support production activities, breakdowns, projects and seasonal demand.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across brewery, utilities and distribution equipment.
• Diagnosing faults, responding to breakdowns and supporting repairs to minimise downtime.
• Working alongside production teams to improve reliability, efficiency and performance.
• Supporting sustainability initiatives to reduce water, energy and effluent consumption.
• Investigating recurring issues and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Maintaining accurate maintenance records and supporting compliance activities.
• Ensuring safe working practices are followed at all times.
• Providing operational support during peak production periods when required.
